A professional Exterior Inspection home inspection is comprised of a number of essential pieces including the exterior areas of a structure.
When a home inspector is inspecting the exterior of the home they inspect the following areas:
- Siding
- Decks
- Balconies
- Condition of all doors and windows
- Garages
- Wall coverings, flashing, and trim
- Eaves, soffits, and fascias where accessible from the ground level
- Vegetation, grading, surface drainage, and retaining walls that are likely to adversely affect the building
- Adjacent and entryway walkways, patios, and driveways
The inspector will create a detailed report of their findings along with pictures and will be available to the customer 24 hours after the inspection.
